We built TRILUNA because we wanted an inclusive space where everyone was welcome to define “wellness” for themselves. We wanted to see ourselves represented in the health community. We wanted to create a safe space where people of all different backgrounds and walks of life could come to the table and speak honestly and truthfully and without fear of judgement.
We’ve learned a lot since we set out with that mission. We’ve learned that what people are actually seeking from us is acceptance. And magic. And community. What they take with them when they leave us is a sense of belonging and permission to be themselves and live intuitively.
But it took us a long time to figure out that that’s what our people needed. We were worried that people wouldn’t show up if it wasn’t a hard-hitting cardio class or a push up contest. We were wrong.
Our retreats taught us that. Women showed up from all over the southeast to spend a weekend with a group of women they didn’t know spilling their hearts out around a bonfire. It was incredible to watch these women build their community, give voice to their vulnerability, and find themselves less alone in their struggles. That’s what we mean when we talk about magic.
After an event recently we asked one of our attendees to give us some feedback and she said: “What this did for me was make it clear what I needed. Peace. Peace of mind. Peace to relieve myself from the internal agitators. Not only peace, but positivity. Positive words coming in, positive acceptance of my body, what I put in it. Accepting me for who I am. Accepting my experiences. I had to release more than I anticipated to be able to sit in physical silence. It was really only then that I was able to accept the sound of positivity, both real and imagined, filling the spaces where I had allowed so much negative noise to live. I couldn’t believe the relief that happened in such a short period of time.” Magic.
We’ve learned a lot since we started this company. And we wanted to share some of our big lessons with you. We put all our community favorites into one workbook so you can bring some of that magic into your own life. We hope you enjoy it.✨
